As a whole, Boulder inspires an active lifestyle and is home to some of the world’s top runners, cyclists mountain bikers, rock climbers and recently rated as #1 Sports town in America by Outside Magazine, there are over 300 miles of hiking and biking trails and approx. 45,000 acres of open space.

HIKING

Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder offers over 145 miles of trail and 35,000 acres of Open Space. Explore and enjoy many popular hiking destinations including Flatirons, Boulder Creek, and the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area.

BIKING

The homes in this neighborhood are a bit older, built in the 1930’s-1960’s. This area includes some CU student rentals as well as some very highend home owners. Close proximity to the beautiful mountains and hiking trails are big advantages of this area.

FISHING

Boulder's fishing scene was made famous by the 2006 movie Catch & Release, and Boulder remains a great place to hone your casting skills. Species of fish include Rainbow Trout, Bluegill, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch, Largemouth Bass and Channel Catfish.

CAMPING

There are more than 23 million acres of public land in Colorado, from dizzying mountain tops to lush valley bottoms, dusty canyons to glassy lakes, where in a few hours’ drive you can escape the noise and traffic of city life for a weekend wilderness adventure.

ROCK CLMBING

Climbers love Boulder. Whether you're a trad climber seeking the airy lines of Eldo, a sport climber looking for granite in the canyon, or a boulderer wanting to tackle some Flagstaff Mountain classics, Boulder will keep you happy. In addition to the options in Boulder, destinations such as Lumpy Ridge, Shelf Road, Garden of the Gods, and Rifle are just a few hours away.

SKIING

Boulder is a great "gateway" to Colorado ski areas. Eldora Mountain Resort is nearby, and the world-class mountains of Summit and Vail Counties are only a few hours away. Opportunities for cross-country skiing also abound in the area.
