Colorado Shakespeare Festival
June 11-August 13, 2017

The Colorado Shakespeare Festival was founded in 1958 and is still going strong. Held every summer at the picturesque Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre and the indoor University Theatre on the University of Colorado Boulder campus, this festival is consistently among the most critically acclaimed of its kind in the nation. CSF's award-winning education program also presents classes, workshops and camps for all ages throughout the year.

Bands on the Bricks
Wednesdays, June 7-August 9, 2017

From oldies to alternative and everything in between, Bands on the Bricks is Boulder County's premiere outdoor summer concert series taking place in the heart of the city on the bricks of the one-and-only Pearl Street Mall. A not-to-be-missed summer tradition with 10 weeks of free concerts. Enjoy performances from the best local musicians along the front range while dancing under the stars. Featuring an outdoor beer/wine/margarita garden starting at 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday night, featuring Rio Margaritas and local breweries.

Boulder Farmers Market
Saturdays, April 1-November 18, 2017

Offering fresh fruit, flowers, veggies and delicious edibles, the Farmers' Market provides a place for locals to sell their products in a friendly, fun environment. Twice a week, residents and visitors can fill their bags with goodies. Wednesdays 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., May – October, Saturdays 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., April through November.

Concerts in the Park

The Boulder Parks and Recreation Department partners with the Boulder Concert Band to provide music in the parks. The Boulder Concert Band is composed of volunteer musicians from Boulder and surrounding communities. The BCB provides our community with outstanding performances of traditional and modern concert literature and enriches the cultural experience of the audience and the musiciansBring a picnic dinner and enjoy the parks with your family! Boulder Philharmonic

Under the vision and leadership of Music Director Michael Butterman, the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra is celebrating its 53rd year of reflecting all that makes Boulder special--its creativity, spirit, beauty and quest for knowledge. The Boulder Phil is a critically acclaimed professional orchestra, presenting performances nine months out of the year and employing a core of 72 of our region's most highly trained musicians.

The Boulder Phil's main performance venue is historic Macky Auditorium on the CU-Boulder campus. The orchestra's Masterworks series--broadcast across the state on Colorado Public Radio--features a dynamic mix of masterpieces and promising new works, highlighting both accomplished and emerging guest artists with a special emphasis on Boulder's own creative community.

The orchestra's broad reach in the community includes special events such asthe annual co-production of *The Nutcracker *with the Boulder Ballet and summer concerts at the Arvada Center Amphitheater. The Boulder Phil also works to inspire the next generation of music-lovers through its Discovery Concerts reaching 4th and 5th grade students across three counties.

Named one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals” in the world by MovieMaker Magazine, the Boulder International Film Festival brings films and filmmakers from around the world to Boulder for a four-day celebration of the art of cinema.

BIFF has developed a reputation as one of the most influential young film festivals in the U.S., with an extraordinary number of new-but-unknown feature films, documentaries and shorts that have gone on from early screenings at BIFF to significant box-office success and multiple Oscar nominations.
