Open Door Fridays are designed to offer dedicated creative time to participants to engage in an art process of their choosing. Or they can work on the project of the day. The project varies week to week and gives participants the opportunity to feel inspired about learning a new craft or sharing their own art. Some of the offerings include: basics of needle felting, word art, origami, matchbox art, textile art and sewing crafts, wood burning, dremel drilling, art with nature, card making, painting techniques, sculpture techniques, doll making, personal shrines, lotions and potions and much much more! As all art studio and workshops offered at the BATC, the emphasis is on the arts as therapy, working together in community, and less on the perfection of the final product. You do not have to be an artist to be in this group.
